“Storm Drain Baby” by

Bhava Yoga

Morning’s roseate sky
Has been blasted away,
Branches now whirligigs
Swirl with a fierce southern wind
As windows rattle in frames.

A tattered umbrella
Shades from a relentless sun.
I listen to Bhava Yoga
The vibration of Love,
Where imagination meets
Memory in the dark.
Yet surrounding these soothing tones
The world outside this music
Conspires to disrupt, sweep away
All thought, reflection.

The fierce wind gets my attention.
I can not deny its primal force.

Still, the pulse of Bhava Yoga
Draws me within,
Feeds imagination with memory,
Calls forth something as enduring as the fury outside,
And I feel the pulse of the infinite.
We are like birds,
Clinging with dulled claws to
The swaying branches of life.

Yesterday a baby was born,
Placed in a storm drain
To survive by a father who wasn’t.
Three days of heavy rain
Washed the conflicts of this Lamb
Into the sea.

He was found, expected to live
And fled,
His life measured in scant public
Outrage outside hollywood

The 40 year old father said as they
Led him away:
“It was a marriage gone strong.”

The rain continues today
Rushing down streets
To storm drains,
Making a gurgling sound.

I many times thought Peace had come
When Peace was far away—
As Wrecked Men—deem they sight the Land—
At Centre of the Sea—

And struggle slacker—but to prove
As hopelessly as I—
How many the fictitious Shores—
Before the Harbor be—

poem by Emily Dickerson

The red-rose flush fades slowly in the west.
The golden water, basking in the light,
Pales to clear amber and to silver white.
The velvet shadow of a flame-crowned crest
Lies dark and darker on its shining breast,
Till lonely mere and isle and mountain-height
Grow dim as dreams in tender mist of night,
And all is tranquil as a babe at rest.

So still! So calm! Will our life's eve come thus?
No sound of strife, of labour or of pain,
No ring of woodman's axe, no dip of oar.
Will work be done, and night's rest earned, for us?
And shall we wake to see sunrise again?
Or shall we sleep, to see and know no more?

Happy New Year, and Merry Christmas To You, Me, She, He, and We!

when the sun goes hiding
the cloud darkens its face
heavy rain drowns dry grace
wet road leads to unknown place
days change into nights
witches haunt knights
if you were a ghost
you would feel good but old
poetry wears colors
Denver, Tokyo, Mid West, and Choctaw,
a pilot flies high above cloud,
a poet travels far from home front
emotions develop wings
thoughts grow and stretch,
moments of happiness
long time celebration of rebirth

Happy Belated Blogging Birthday (8/18/2011-8/18/2015) and remember nine one one (9/11/2001-9/11/2015)

Image result for happy 4th birthday   blogging is fun
when you don't count the times you have no clue of what's to be done,
blogging is nice
when you act brave and wise,
blogging is cool
when your dreams come true....

Happy poetry, theme, peace, freedom blogging birthday
to Jingle Poetry @ Olive Garden...

at the same time,
we recall 9/11/2001,
a bad attack hits new york city people
who is civic and divine,
how sad
to see Americans feel bad,
how powerful
when george walker bush gives americans who are hopeful
tools, mindset, prayers to remain calm and faithful,
an event occurs
when a power bursts
and the past is a lesson
when we have our seatbelt fasten
and when we say prayers
to God
wishing that
none of those wars
or tragedy shall happen...

peace, love, and prayers,
Happy July 4th,
Set the clock straight,
and feel free to write, share,
and roam the new york city broadway street
